This is what Metropolitan Life (South Africa), Orient Insurance (Kenya) and Trustco (Namibia) are doing. They are using mobile phone channel to provide cheap insurance services to the BoP. Can these services be replicated across Africa? Find out at M-PAY Africa - Ghana 2010.

However, Standard Investment Bank, Kenya, with introduction of EasyHisa has shown that the BoP can also play the universal game. Easy Hisa is a new SMS service that allows investors to trade shares from the comfort of their home or office. Can this service work in other African countries? Find out at M-PAY Africa - Ghana 2010.

M-Government:
There is a global shift in demand from governmental agencies as they exploit the ubiquitous nature of SMS. Presently, over twenty governmental agencies were amongst those in Singapore exploring how to secure the SMS channel for its activity. Can governments in Africa also exploit mobile phone technology to enhance its delivery? Join us at M-PAY Africa - Ghana 2010.
